At Ecosex in the City at Performance Space New York in June 2023, we shared all three sections of our film “Dancing with Billy: Uskane Teyakyatkwa Billy”: “Landing Duet,” “Becoming Walnut Tree, Becoming Forest,” and “Strawberry Entanglements.” We also led the audience through a participatory performance on entanglements, inviting them into a shared somatic practice of sensing themselves as part of an interconnected human and more-than-human field. In addition, we offered an artist talk/performance that wove together our process, our relationships with Billy, Deshkan Ziibi/Thames river, and Oneida Nation, and our ongoing explorations of queer ecology, death, and collective improvisation
