Waking-up is the threshold between waking and sleeping; in these thresholds, there is this turning point and we decide whether to follow habitual action or improvise somewhere else.

For one year I was the artist in resident at the Blue Oak Ranch Reserve in the Oak Savannah hills high above the Silicon Valley. This was part of the Natural Reserve System Artist in Residency Grant in 2014.
My proposal was to work with the craniosacral practice, a relational somatic practice that works with slowing down. I was inspired by a Lucious dreaming workshop by Eiko and Koma. They were thinking with “Becoming a thing” as a way of pushing against the kind of productive human that was destroying the planet.
